- Which engines qualify for the 7-year warranty offer? Every new Mercury gas outboard we sell, from 2.5hp to 20hp. The Avator electric line is not part of this offer. It has its own deal on our Deals page.
- When does the 7-year coverage start? The day we register your engine with Mercury. After delivery, we email you a digital registration card. Fill it out, send it back, and we take it from there.
- Is this the same warranty a local dealer would give you? Yes. The coverage comes from Mercury, not from us. Any Mercury-Authorized Dealer in Canada can handle warranty work, no matter where you bought the engine.
- Does the coverage transfer if you sell your boat? Yes. The remaining coverage follows the engine to the new owner. Complete the transfer within 30 business days of the sale.
- Is there any cost when you make a claim? Nothing during the first 3 years under the factory warranty. In years 4 through 7, MPP Gold repairs carry a flat $50 deductible per visit. Parts and labour are covered beyond that.
