Shipping Policy
Receiving your new Mercury Outboard is an exciting moment. We know how important it is to connect technical specifications to real-world operational benefits for boaters across Canada. Please read this guide carefully to ensure a smooth delivery process.
Shipping Timelines & Costs
-
Processing: Orders placed take 1-3 business days (
excluding holidays) to be processed and shipped from our warehouse.
-
Shipping: Estimated delivery times will be provided at checkout. These are good-faith estimates, and we are not liable for delays caused by the freight carrier.
-
Costs: Shipping rates are calculated based on your location. The final cost will be presented at checkout for your approval.
Shipping Method & Service Area
Due to their size and weight, all outboard motors are shipped via a specialized LTL (Less-Than-Load) freight carrier. We ship to all of Canada, including every province and
territory. Please note that deliveries to remote or limited-service areas may incur additional shipping fees.
The Delivery Process
-
Scheduling: Once your order ships, our freight partner will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment.
-
Receiving Location: Freight shipments require delivery to a verifiable commercial address with a loading dock or forklift capabilities. Residential delivery may be available for an additional fee.
-
CRITICAL—Inspecting Your Shipment: This is the most important step of the delivery process.
- Before signing the delivery receipt (Bill of Lading), you must carefully inspect the entire shipment for any external damage to the crate or packaging.
- If you see any damage, no matter how minor, you must note it on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves (e.g., "Torn packaging," "Crushed corner of crate").
- If the delivery receipt is signed without any notation of damage, the shipment is legally deemed to have been accepted in good condition. This action prevents us from filing a freight claim with the carrier and waives your right to a claim for shipping-related damages. Protecting your purchase by carefully inspecting it upon arrival is essential.
-
Reporting Damage: If you discover concealed damage after uncrating your motor, please contact us within 48 hours. Keep all original packaging materials, as they are required for a freight claim.
Safety & Legal
-
Liability: Our liability for the product transfers to the freight carrier upon pickup and to you upon your signature on the delivery receipt. Noting damage is crucial to protect your purchase.
